Honey nut corn flakes are the best, but I can’t have that much sugar in one go! That doesn’t mean that honey nut flavours can’t be mixed with other breakfast goodies.
Ingredients Serves 2)
- 100g of oats
- 2 medium bananas
- 200ml of almond milk
- 75ml of water
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 3 tablespoons of any nut butter
- A handful of broken walnuts
Start by mashing one of the bananas into a bowl and mixing in the water and milk. For a smoother mix, place the banana, water and milk into a blender for 15 seconds, but this isn’t nessessery. Add this mix to a saucepan with the oats and bring to the boil. Simmer for 4-5 minutes, occasionally stirring.
Half way through cooking, add the honey and nut butter and stir thoroughly. When ready, serve between two bowls. Take the other banana, cut it into slices and add to the top of each bowl. Add the walnuts and a drizzle of honey to each bowl and serve up. Add some flaxseeds for extra fibre if you like. Enjoy!
