Banana and Cinnamon Chia Pudding

This is definitely a breakfast for the summer, and now that the sun is starting to shine in England, chia pudding is at the top of my breakfast list! Chia pudding is so easy; it opens up the doors to trying all sorts of different flavours. For the last couple of weeks I have been trying a combination of so many different flavours. This simple mix won me over in the end. I love bananas! I try to limit my intake, as too many, like with a lot of fruit; can still be filling out bodies with too much fructose. I hope you enjoy this nice little breakfast treat.


Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 4 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 350ml almond milk
  • Half of a ripe banana
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup or honey


To start with, fill your blender with the almond milk, banana and the maple syrup/honey. Blend until you get smooth banana milk. If you do not have a blender, just mash the banana with a fork until smooth and add the other ingredients. Add to a bowl your banana milk and the chia seeds, and give it a good stir, making sure no chia seeds are clumping together at the bottom. Leave in the fridge for 6-8 hours or overnight. When it is ready the chia seeds with be so smooth and the smell of banana will be amazing! Add your favourite toppings if you like, my personal favourite is top ad some extra banana slices with pomegranate seeds! Serve up and enjoy!

  • I have been making this pudding without the banana. Yummy! For added fibre I usually add just before eating 1tbsp ground flax seeds. The occasional shredded coconut with one date satisfies my sugar need. This for me is the perfect meal replacement. Next stop…..1 banana
